Food Security and Livelihood (FLS)

Severe food insecurity has continued to increase in South Sudan with more than 50% of the population remaining food insecure over the last several years (Humanitarian Needs Overview (HNO), 2019/2020). Insecurity and related displacement have undermined the already compromised agricultural production, destroying livelihoods of farmers, herders and fishermen hence escalating food shortages in the country.
We, therefore provides food assistance, farm inputs, fishing inputs as well as build the capacity of farmers and fisher forks on improved agronomics and sustainable fishing practices. To protect livelihoods of women and women groups, we organize women to form Village Saving and Livelihood Associations while providing them with basic training on how to run and sustainable profitable small microenterprises.
