Governance and Administrative Structure

In order to ensure that we realize our vision, mission, and objectives and adhere to organization’s core values, MaCDA has a robust organizational structure with clear chain of commands and decision-making organs as summarized below:

GENERAL ASSEMBLY
The General Assembly is the supreme authority of the organization and consists of all the members of MaCDA. The board of trustees consists of the founding members of the organization and they have the overall responsibility for the management of the organization. The board of trustees seeks to ensure the best interest of the Organizations, staff and beneficiaries in all types of management decisions.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS (BOD)
The BOD headed by the Chairperson, ensures the implementation of the objectives and functions of the organization by the Management team. The members are appointed for a period of two years. Based on their performance, they can also be re -elected in the office for another one more term. It is also responsible for policy formulation, providing strategic direction to the organization as well as strategic fundraising.

MaCDA’s board of directors is composed of male and female members structured as follows: The Chairperson (non – executive), the Executive Director, Finance Director(non- executive), Trading Director (nonexecutive), Engagement and Communications Director (non-executive), Campaigns, policy and Influencing Director (non-executive), Fundraising Director (non-executive), People’s Director (non executive), International Program Director (non-executive), Women’s Rights & Gender Director (non executive).

MANAGEMENT UNIT
The Management unit is the one responsible for the day-to-day management of the affairs of the organization. It is currently composed of a mixture of energetic, talented women, men and youth. MaCDA’s managerial structure is currently composed of the Executive Director, Program Manager, Operations, Finance Manager Logistics and Procurement Manger and the HR/admin Manager.
