Shelter & NFIs

An estimated 2.3 million people are in need of Shelter and non-food items (HNO, 2019/2020). As malnutrition and food insecurity increase, community’s especially young children under age 5 have become more prone to WASH -related diseases, e.g. Cholera.
Emergency shelter and NFI supplies remain critical to ensuring the health, safety and dignity of South Sudan’s conflict affected population. Women and children remain especially vulnerable to protection risks due to lack of shelter. A number of host community members also require assistance due to pressure on limited resources to support the displaced populations obtain nonfood items in local markets.
